BEHOLD JESUS in the Gospel of John

May 31st 2025 @ 2pm

Dear Friends

Thank you for visiting our Website.

We are a non-denominational Christian church and a place to connect, grow and serve together as we raise up an “Army of Compassion” to reach our community with the love of Jesus.

We have such a desire to see the unsaved saved, then discipled and walking in their God-given destiny. We believe that God has a plan for every life, one precious person at a time. Everything we do is motivated by this passion!

Every ministry has a unique calling, and we believe ours is as follows:

1. A Hospital. A place of refuge and restoration for non-believers and believers alike. God is faithful to provide a place of healing and restoration for the whole man – Spirit, Soul and Body. He has sent us many hurting people with broken hearts and shattered lives, living without hope. Many have been saved, healed, delivered and set free!

2. A Training Center. A place where believers will be discipled, trained and raised up to “do the work of the ministry.” A place where we can learn to flow in our God-given gifts and callings, and also learn to hear the voice of the Lord for ourselves.

3. Outreaches. A place where God can network us together with other Churches, Ministries and Organizations of His choosing, to build an “Army of Compassion” to reach out and serve our community with the love of Jesus Christ. Together we can make a difference and help people to dream again. The cry of our heart is “Find a need and fill it, find a hurt and heal it.”

We trust that as you visit our site, you will be stirred and encouraged in the Lord. We invite you to come and visit us personally or maybe you want to volunteer your time. Either way, we would be honored to have you.

God Bless You.
Pastors and Congregation, Spokane Dream Center.

Spokane Dream Center exists to reach the youth that God has placed in our path with the message that God knows the plans He has for their lives, and that they are plans for welfare and peace, and not for evil, to give them hope and a future.

We believe that each person is endowed by their Creator with a destiny and purpose that is specific to them and uniquely their own. We believe that God dreamed great dreams over each and every life that He created and that no matter what, His vision remains the same. Far too many lives in this generation have had their dreams stolen by the circumstances of life; by the wrongful actions of others and by their own bad decisions and we have seen far too many kids simply trade their destiny for something less…for a counterfeit. This generation of young people will soon not be young anymore, but will be the leaders of our nation and our culture. To many people things may appear to be falling apart and it may seem that our nation is coming to a point of judgement and destruction, we believe that God’s plan is still for a hope and a future! We must simply choose it! So we are raising up what we believe will be the greatest lives of this next great generation…..and we will be satisfied with nothing less!

Our Pastors

David and Alice Darroch
 Senior Pastors

David was born and raised in the southern African country of Zimbabwe and joined the Royal Air Force in England in 1963. While based on the Island of Malta in the Mediterranean he met and married his wife Alice. In 1972 they were selected for the British/United States Military Exchange Program, and arrived on Whidbey Island in the State of Washington where life dramatically changed for them. In 1973 they were saved and immediately realized a call into the ministry in the United States.

After returning to the United Kingdom and a miraculous release from the Air Force, they finally returned to the States in 1980, and took up residence in Spokane, Washington, where they have served the Lord faithfully ever since. They are now US citizens, and the parents of two children Mark and Cherelle, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

About US

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things. The Three are coexistant, coeternal and equal in divine perfection.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, buried, resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God; true, immutable, steadfast and unchangeable.

We believe in personal salvation wholly by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

We believe in water baptism by immersion in response to the example and command of Jesus.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate experience after the new birth, and that all the gift’s of the Spirit are available today for every believer.

We believe that it is the will of God that those who have been born again grow in sanctification, become partakers of His holiness, and daily grow stronger in faith, power, prayer, love and service.

We believe that God creates each person as male or female. Together they reflect the image and nature of God.

We believe that the term ‘marriage’ has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as written in Scripture.

We believe in the Christian hope: the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, to rule and reign forever, as King of kings and Lord of lords.

History

Spokane Dream Center was originally named Foundation Ministries and was founded in October 1984 by David & Alice Darroch.

Between 1984 and 1991, we were very active in local churches while at the same time holding a weekly Bible study in our home. It was during this time that the Lord opened the doors to Jail, Prison and Drug Rehab ministry.

In 1991, as ministry increased, the Lord led us to find our own facility in which to hold services, and to combine the various outreach ministries under one roof. Other outreaches and ministries were added, including, for a time separate Boy’s and Girl’s Homes for troubled teenagers. Currently these are not in operation, but the vision is still alive!

In 2003, a number of buildings were given for the use of the ministry. One became home to our Men’s Discipleship program, another our Youth Center for youth services, and another our Ministry Resource Center where we give away food, clothing, love and prayer. In October 2005 we started a Women’s Discipleship program in a home that was loaned to us for a time before it was sold. In March 2009 we moved the Resource Center into our main facility on Pines Road and were also given a large 5 bedroom home in downtown Spokane that has become our Women’s Discipleship facility.

Because of a similar burden and vision, and our desire to see the broken hearts and lives of children and adults restored and being able to ‘Dream Again’ we contacted the leadership of Los Angeles Dream Center regarding a name change for our ministry. They were very encouraging, and so in January 2003 our name was changed from Foundation Ministries to Spokane Dream Center, all to the glory of God.

Bookstore

“Feeding on His Faithfulness” covers nearly thirty years of the lives of David & Alice Darroch. It speaks of God’s faithfulness as the Holy Spirit led David to leave his career in the Royal Air Force, emigrate from England to the United States and go into full time ministry. With no backing, no income, no savings, no job and two young children, the Darroch’s embarked on their spiritual journey that took them through several countries and two continents. This book was written as a memorial to God’s unparalleled faithfulness to lead, guide and provide as we step out in obedience to His call.

Endorsement: David and Alice have written a fascinating book that chronicles their lives over the past three decades. From David’s birth in Zimbabwe to his military duty in England to the establishment of a Church and Dream Center in Spokane, Washington, the reader is taken on an amazing journey that demonstrates God’s amazing love for His people. This book is essential reading for those who want to be used by God in a powerful way.
